In this episode, Raghav Aggarwal, the co-founder of Fluid AI talks about his journey from starting a tech business at 20 along with his younger brother Abhinav Aggarwal, how they pivoted the business and how they grew the business from one niche to another, into an AI startup.
Raghav Aggarwal is the cofounder and Managing Director of Fluid AI. He started the company when he was in his final year of Undergrad when he was just 20. He started the company along with Abhinav Aggarwal who was just 17 and his 12th grade when the company got its start. Raghav dropped out of his MBA at IIM Ahmedabad and Abhinav dropped out of his MBA at ISB Hyderabad to continue to scale the company. While both have studied finance Raghav being a CFA and Abhinav a CA they always had a passion for coding and were self-taught coders, who were winners at one of the world’s biggest 24-hour coding competitions, the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon in New York.
Their entrepreneurial journey took them from a 2-person start-up to the cover of Forbes Magazine in June 2017. Today Fluid AI has a 65 member strong team in 5 countries and works with some of the world’s largest companies including Bank of America, Mastercard, Vodafone, Barclays, Toyota, Emirates NBD Bank, Government of Mauritius and closer home with the likes of HDFC, ICICI and Reliance Jio.
Raghav and Abhinav have been covered in the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list and the Fortune 40 under 40. Fluid AI has been selected by Entrepreneur magazine in their tech 25 list and was also the Winner of the Frost and Sullivan Artificial Intelligence Award. The company has been selected by both Forrester and Gartner as a top AI solutions vendor in their respective reports. The company also won the IBM Best Deep Tech Start-up award.
Both are avid speakers and are excited by the power of AI. They have spoken at over 30 conferences globally including several TEDx talks.
